Ideal information on mosquito pest control

There are different methods through which you can control mosquitoes and there are some of the best mosquito pest control methods to be followed:

Control the propagation of mosquito larvae

Mosquito larvae can be controlled if you make sure that there is no dormant water in and around your homes. Look for all the possible places where rainwater could accumulate. Clean these places well. Get rid of unused basins and containers that can hold water.

Use the proper clothing

Light colored clothing is less likely to attract mosquitoes. Although it may not be as comfortable in terms of temperature, long sleeves, long pants, and socks are also recommended. It should be noted, however, that mosquitoes are capable of biting through clothing. When you apply mosquito repellant it's generally a good idea to spray both your skin and your clothes. The repellant won't stain or harm your clothing and while it may wear off your skin, it tends to linger longer on your clothing and thus will do a better job.

Control the infestation of mosquitoes in wading pools and swimming pools

Mosquitoes lay their eggs on stagnant water. If you own a pool, you have to make sure that it is treated with anti-mosquito chemicals. If you are unsure what product to use, consult your local pool service or someone at a reputable home improvement or hardware store.

Control the adult mosquitoes

Adult mosquitoes can be controlled with the use of insecticides. There are a lot of mosquito control products available in the market today. Some mosquito control devices like automated mosquito control are also being developed and improved upon constantly.

When you do receive a mosquito bite, do your best not to scratch it. Use anti-itch cream or lotion to control the irritation. Normally the bite will disappear in 24 to 36 hours although for some people with extreme sensitivity, the bite may harden and remain present as a small lump for as long as a week to ten days.

Any time you use a chemical based mosquit so repellant read the label carefully and do not use more than what is recommended. Don't allow children to apply the material unsupervised. Some natural mosquito repellants may be mild on the skin, but other mosquito control products may be harmful to both the insects and the humans seeking to avoid them.
